Really. What a stand up guy. :D

I'm just ready to take a weekday off of work. I love driving at night, so I'm anxious for that as well.
Depending on when he finishes, you may make the bowling meet on Saturday. :naughty: Too bad my car won't be there.

It makes me sad to think of her sitting there so cold and lonely, waiting for me, so close to running. :nono:

D'oh. IF I'm there Saturday, it would be late afternoon, since I'm not off work until 3. Earliest flight I could take would be around 4:30 (security blows), So I'd be @ Burbank around 6.

But I am making NO PLANS at this point.

IF you come Saturday, fly into Orange County (SNA). You'll be 10 minutes from the meet. Somebody can give you a ride back to Driftmotion. Aaron might even attend the meet.

This sucks for you I know, but can you imagine doing the labor on this swap........TWICE.........:aigo:

Good luck, and I'll be expecting some good news shortly. Hopefully Aaron isn't too busy right now and is getting to spend most of his time on your car.

Ok so I went to exchange the engine, and to make it even better, the only clean 1jz that was available for replacement was front sump. :icon_evil
So we spent another day today swapping oil pans and intake manifolds and harnesses and ac compressor, and timing belt job (AGAIN!) and rear main seal and plugs and..............anyways, it's ready to go back in the car tomorrow. The new engine looked very nice inside, I think we got a winner this time.

SO i'm guessing you can't test the engine on a stand? I remember a shop teacher firing up a v-8 on an engine stand to show us what auto might be like in highschool. moron revved it up in front of everyone without the exaust... This insane loudness in the medium-small shop was obviously to attract the newbies that thought that crap was cool but....anyway..

is it difficult to test the engine out of a car? i suppose a v-8 isn't as sophisticated so maybe thats why it was possible with that engine...no ecu and stuch...
