Well, the final event of the season came down to me and my buddy in his Subie, seperated by 2 points so the winner would take the season championship for TTD class.

We had a good battle going back and forth. I had run a 50.9X to his 51.7X and on he last run he did a 50.713. I responded with a 50.616 and the class came down to less than a 1/10th of a second over 12 events. :drink1:

Finally caught the LS1 FC (he's now building an LS2 FD though) and almost had the GT3. Just showing the mk3 can hold it's own. Next year I might make the switch to stickier tires but I think the Azenis have a little left to find on warm days, the only car in the top 10 that wasn't on R's was a highly modded Evo.

Here are some vids from Sunday:
Wrx's last run:

My second to last (gave the camera to him for the last one above):

Several others on course (Friend's Subie, Cobalt SS, MK4 Supra w/ big single T, SVT Cobra :

Congrats, I seriously mean that cause there isn't a single MKIII here at the autoX events in Columbus, the last time I went there was a MKIV, but didn't really care to much about that, the fastest time that day was by a vette. The event before that was the Governor's Cup and it came down to a 89 civic hatch (not too sure if that's the exact year) and a 05-06 N/A impreza. Hatch won.....I'm going to rub this in everyone's faces over here cause I'm like the only guy that likes a MKIII, everyone else just thinks it's way too heavy and slow.....Again CONGRATS!!

Thanks guys, appreciate the support!
Supra28, those are the same folks that lead the events in our region (STS Civics and big tire Vettes) which is why I'm glad for classing.
It is heavy but it's also gained the attention of quite a few of those Honda, Miata and Vette drivers who have driven the car in the past and said it just wasn't competitive. Once I started running in the top of the street tire times they were pretty impressed and now I'm getting hassled for not running R's yet :)

Doward, I was going to place the mount on the door but haven't chanced losing the camera yet. I've got a bullet cam I'll try out there next year.

I've had a Nat. level autoxer and a NASA H4 mutli track record holder drive the car within 2/10ths of my times on street tires. None of us were close to the Fast street tire Civics though.
