Na tach with turbo engine ???

I'm doing an 7mgte swap which the motor came out of an 88 and going into my 90 n/a auto converting with full 90 turbo engine harness. However ! i heard that the NA tach would not work with the turbo engine->because of the difference is in the ignition systems distributor vs. CPS and coil pack !!!. So my question is that would it be possible if i swap out my 90 n/a cluster and put in an 90 turbo cluster ?? or is there some other way around this thing ???? I just swapped my N/A tach for a Turbo tach. Works great! There are also diagrams floating around showing you which resistors need to be changed to properly calibrate the N/A tachs to work with the 7mgte setup.

I just did a GE to GTE swap in my '86.5, and all I did was change out the tach. Once you pull the cluster apart, the GTE tach just bolts/screws right in place of the GE tach.

It really is plug and play.
