With 180,000 miles on my odometer, is it safe considering a NA-T project? I'd like a bit more power, but I'm not sure if it'd be more worthwhile to swap an entire engine.

The way I figure, it would be around 2k for a total 7m swap and around 3k for a 1jz. Has anyone turboed their NA and still has their parts list/cost list around?

Well this is simply an opionative question but it more of "How much money do you want to spend"

Ive been researching na-t swaps for quite a long time now and ive learned its much better to go through a full engine swap. Either that or re-build the current engine in the car for turbo.

And were are you finding 1jz swaps for 3g's?

ive heard that the gte is a whole different beast, with the devil in the details such as the oil squirters and compression ratio, cooling fan and so forth. as for the 1jz swaps, front clips from driftmotion are $2600 and from jarco with the 5 speed and lsd its maybe $2995. are those prices incorrect?

I'm in the middle of puting a 7MGTE in a NA chassis. I've spent like $3000 already but the motor is not going to be stock when it gos in. Some of that money was spent on other stuff like brakes, stanless steal lines, exhaust, ect.

I am currently doing the NA-T conversion to my car. I would say that with that many miles on your car you should definitely consider rebuilding it or, like me, get a jdm motor. But if you still want to consider using the motor you already have then do a compression test and post your #s up here and ask your question again. But I have a list that I found on supraforums that I have been using to build mine. Ive added some things, removed some others but these are some of the prices u should expect to pay. Mind you this is a 1/2 NA-T since Im keeping my NA electronics.
