I have searched forums and even had advice from certian individuals but still need an answer before this weekend so i can finish the engine. I'm having trouble getting a return PM from an individual, so i thought i'd ask everyone.
I'm at the 1000 mile mark on my rebuilt 1989 NA. I've heard i can retorque to 72 ft/lbs. BUT... i thought this was only for turbo models. Can i torque a NA head with OEM head bolts to that spec and still be ok??? Sorry for the desperation, but i appreciate everyone's help. thanks!!!!!!!

I torqued my reused stock bolts @72 at the first place.... ;)
But if your bolts are new, like IJ once said to me, retorque after 3 or 5 heat cycles IIRC.

there are less N/A's with blown BHG's because most owners don't flog it like turbo owners do...

BUT that doesn't mean N/A's don't blow HG's...

I'm just saving "BHG" money when mine goes out and I don't have enough for a 2JZ swap...
