hey tilt :D it's me taj, nice to see u again

I've owned both, I can say with ease that NA vs NA, supra wins, if you're going for daily driving etc, if you're gonna mod up, take the FC, drop in an REW, and be done with it

you know......for 50k mile until it blows an apex seal, but hell, I switched to a supra looking to avoid that problem and still ran into a blown head gasket

your choice bro, :D

drive an 87 NA mk3: not too slow, doesnt break down because I know what it needs, looks great, sounds amazing, has all the options, swapping a 5spd is easy, ive heard swapping the gte in is easy, finding parts is easy, most parts are reasonably cheap, you dont need a rotary specialist to work on it if you cant do it yourself

also not too fast, can be a headache if you picked up after the previous owners mistakes (like any car), thats about it for the cons if you ask me

ps: i dont know about saying all na wankels are slow... my buddies carbureted 13b blows doors off....

Do you want your car to break on you? If you do get the RX7.

rofl, I had to comment on this one before reading all three pages.

the na 13b found in the 2nd gen rx7 is the most reliable rotary ever produced, motors have hit 150,000-200,000 without rebuilds, its ALL about proper maintenance. Considering the FC in question for me has an original 72,000 and the supra chassis has 234,000, reliability is a bit flipped.

Lol to the NA = Not Acceptable, never heard that one! This car will be my dd, I'd prefer a bit better mileage and a bit better reliability, in the mean time. Swap-ability does play a factor though!

lol thats so true but i think a N/A Supra has a bit more balls then a FC

More than just a bit, its something like a 50hp difference and the supra actually has this amazing thing called torque! NA rotaries most alien concept!

I'm sure you are going to get a pretty biased opinion on these forums towards the NA Supra, but just go with what you want. Both cars have their ups and downs. Good luck.

That's the idea, I'm personally biased toward the 13b so hearing the polar opposite is exactly what I need. Thus far its still a tough decision though, the MKIII would be so different and new to me.

Its got more hp but its still slower, there's this little thing called power to weight ratio, and the n/a rx7 has the n/a supra beat. between the two cars you have a choice from id pick the rx7. now if you had a lower mileage supra i would go with that, cause supras are just better:icon_bigg
