Is there any supra clubs in Northern Kentucky, or Cincinnati area? I'm just curious because I see vary little MKIII's around here (i've only counted 4 in the NKY area and 1 in Cinci), And even less MKIV's.

I just thought it might be fun to join, or to maybe start one if there was enough Supra owners. :)

You can find me on myspace.com/collegato if you want to join my virtual NKY Supra Club

Actually, there's quite a few Supra owners living in Northern KY...
You just haven't found them yet. ;)

Most that I know of DO NOT daily drive their cars, which is probably why you haven't seen many.

I'm sure someone will chime in from N.KY (I'm about 1.5hrs North of KY)
to give you a closer count on how many owners are in the area.

Also, I take it you did not come to the Louisville Meet in Nov. '07?

If not, it's a got'darned shame you didn't. :nono: It was a lot of fun.

No unfortunantly I didn't. I owned an 88 white n/a 4.5 years ago, then sold it for 300 beans not really thinking they were worth anything, lol. <<blown tranny.

Now In the last few months I bought an 86.5 burgundy. Already it's got a newer less then 70k mileage engine swap done(7mge). And then they forgot to replace half the hoses i paid them to replace. Imagine old dry rotted trans cooler hose blowing at 130mph, then you'll have some concept of why i'm currently waiting to replace my tranny, lol.

My car looks fairly decents for having worn out paint and interior. But the body and frame has no rust and i bought it with a BHG all for 700 beans.

the block was cracked (not from the cyclinder to the side or between the cylinders, but rather along side the cylinders, never figured that one out). Thus the reason for the newer engine. I want to do a manual swap but have only the funds for the auto tranny swap at the moment. Considering a 1jz/manual and single turbo for the future, but currently going through seperation so everything is on the back burner.

My Supra is my only ride right now because when it ran good (before tranny prob) i sold my DD cavi for a set of new rubber for the car. Now i'm riding back of the bus for another few weeks till i get my tranny from a friend and put it in. Thats me in a rather big nutshell. lol.

You know me, and I know a few.

There are three people [were/are] on here who I know that had a Supra (one in florence, williamstown, burlington) but they have parted with them for now. I know a few others, one guy in close has 3 that i've seen. I know people all over a few youngish and others older who drive them often. I just know them from seeing them around, and I doubt they're on the forums. As for Mkivs, there are a whole bunch around, but they're pretty illusive.

As far as a Supra scene goes, i'd say it's non-exsistant. Just, no one really get's together.

I'll be organizing a bluegrass club once I get my car back. Its really hard to motivate myself to get the club going when I don't have my car. :icon_cry:

Anyways, I'll be posting info on the regional forums hopefully sometime in August. I know of 4 or 5 supras in Lex area alone.

If I sat down, I could name 20 Supra enthusiasts in Northern KY/Southern IN area, that are on the boards.

But I know there's probably a hundred or so Supra OWNERS (Non-enthusiast) roaming around not realizing what they have.

But to tie in with the OP...I just don't think a "Club" would work well.

With Hondas/Eclipses, etc...They're everywhere. It's convenient and easy to gather around 30-40 guys to meet once a week and have dinner or something.

With Supras? We're lucky to get 25 Supras coming from IN/IL/OH/MI/KY.

I'd say give up on the "Supra club" thing. Just frequent the boards, and attend the annual meets as well as all the mini meets and that should do you over enough to be "Club-like". :biglaugh:
