n/a ma70 fuel usage

hey guys just wondering if its normal to use about 330km per tank light turns on on a ma70 n/a 1986 thanks

Well, it depends on a lot of things man... Changing it over to numbers I can do the math on, and assuming your light comes on about the same place as mine (with ~14.5 gallons used), you're looking at about 13.5 miles per gallon, or to you, err... well, I'm not entirely sure how you guys measure fuel consumption. To say the least though, that's not so good. I'm pretty sure my 1j gets at least 15+ mpg, and I boost the thing pretty much every day...

Have you been keeping up on your maintenance?

Used to get 500 before the light then another 50 after when mine was NA.

I'll get around 280-300 miles (450-500 km?) each tank. Works out to be about 18 mpg, 23 if I drive mostly highway. I guess this just has to do with my 4.30 LSD running the engine at 3400rpm at 70 mph

I get pretty good mileage on my 92...

Last time I worked it out to about 70 miles per quarter, which comes out to around 280 miles of pure street driving, I rarely ever take the freeway...

I remember going to SILV06, I made it from Rock Springs (Wyoming) to Vegas, and averaged 27mpg. I could have made it without stopping, but I would have had about half a gallon in my tank by the time I get to LVMS... That was mostly 75-80mph, never stopping.

That's roughly 200miles to a tank. That's terrible, even if the car was turbo...
