Ever do a compression check on that engine Fuzz?

For a 7M with an alleged 70-90k miles on it, 140 seems pretty low to me, especially with the exhaust. (unless you ran on a mustang dyno, which I double checked to make sure you didn't)

My 5M put down 144whp and 143wtq with just a 2.25" exhaust and the engine was pulled from a car with 240,000 miles :aigo:

I know all engines wear differently (especially if they had a previous asshat owner) but I would definitely look into why you're missing a few ponies there.

Never done a compression test.Ill have too look into it

i really cant explain that then i always thought it would be like 170-180 range and you have a 1 peice driveshaft so it cant be the stock 2 peicer robbing all that power.

maybe just old age......blah no wonder our cars are slower now

Yeah my car seems slow. At least slower than i expected and thats with me coming from driving a 1990 oldsmobile eighty eight. I have exhaust and just a generic cone intake.

Check compression and check timing as somethign seems off....my little 2.8L mk2 got 145rwhp without headers and 155rwhp with headers. How is the car running otherwise? Any noticebale issues?? Here's my dyno:

It runs great, no noticeable issues. The best i can do is have the compression checked and make sure the ACIS valve is hooked up correctly. My numbers may actually be higher there has been some talk about the dyno possibly reading low.

I think it's a little weird how he got 207 on bolt ons. That would be 238 hp with 15% drivetrain loss and 258 hp with 25% drivetrain loss. Everyone I see has from 140-170 rwhp with bolt ons. I don't see how an electric fan/high flow cat made that much of a difference.

There is a big difference between 140 and 170 rwhp. Old age must really suck.

The first dyno sheet does not look right. The torque should remain up like it did prior to 4500 rpm. As noted, the ACIS may not be working right. Usually, if the vacuum switching valve dies, you lose torque down low. Maybe your valve is stuck closed, or the VSV will not vent to atmosphere.

My engine is pretty fresh comparitively, and my head has been shaved a couple times by the prior owner and once by myself, and the MAF was tuned a little, Not sure what he did to it but thats what the guy told me
