I've searched around, and never really found anything solid, just bits of pieces on how to do it, so my question is:

1.Is that the correct pipe? ( the angle seems to fit)

2.I read somewhere that it would need to shortened a bit, how much am I cutting off?

I"m pretty sure i have other questions, but thats all i can remember at the moment, I"m just tired of seeing that giant clunky intake, and want to clean up the engine bay a bit. If anyone has a step-by-step faq on this, can you give me a link? thanks

Ive got this on my N/A. I bought and intake for a 95 (?) civic. I sold the filter, and used the pipe. Its not a direct for. I cut about and inch and a half off the side closer to the angle. you may have to use a little elbow grease, but it certainly does work, and made my engine bay look a little bit more pretty. Fairly cheap also. Just dont forget about your air flow meter. :biglaugh: I have a pic--- If you would like me to do a full write up, i would be more than happy to!

Im intrested, i hate the stock pipes! that doesent look too bad, i would just want the filter to be around its stock location.

:EDIT: oh, i didnt see the other pic, that filter looks good. are you sure its from a 95 civic?

i never had to move the filter or afm at all, i never even diconnected it. All in all, it took me about half an hour, and that includes a trip to the autoparts store!

Intreasting indeed. You have the AFM sitting there? or is it in any way sucured to something? I want to do the same thing and I just want to know what works and what dosnt. Do a write up because it cant hurt to have this info out for all the n/a's

89Joe: If you look at that circle it kind of looks like the bracket that held the stock pipe in is securing the AFM...I'm not completely sure, but that's what it kind of looks like

s383mmber1: I like it, it looks clean and it's about time something interesting for the N/A (besides NA-T) popped up.

Super Mega Samurai Ninja Kung Fu edit: You need to clean up those heat shields, haha, after that your engine bay would look pertty

Lookin' good everyone! supraman2251, is that just a piece of 3" exhaust pipe you have in there? That is the route I want to take with mine.
