Yesterday i noticed that the bottom coolant line on the ISC was leaking due to a miss-placed hose clamp. I took off the throttle body and ISC w/ out disconnecting anything except the "throttle rod" to be able to put the clamp in the proper position. When i moved the hose, coolant sprayed out through the end of the loose hose and a good portion fell on injector 3...can it short out??
Anyway, i put it back together, fired up the car to make sure there were no leaks and the fucker ran rough as if it were missing. I got out the stethescope to give a listen to the injectors and they all sound normal. I pulled different wires to try and find the miss and it seems like CYL 3!
When i did my injectors i had a similar problem and it turned out that one of the wires to #3 wasnt secured properly, so i pushed it in a lil more and problem solved.

EDIT:
this wire has no home. it is bolted to the valve cover right behind that thick cooland line

As JJ stated, that's the ground wire for the coil packs. :)

Shouldn't have anything to do with clicking behind your dash.
