so my front wheels are an inch wider than stock so when i turn all the way to either side i can hear them grinding. i believe it is the bump stop or whatever its called. i remeber reading about this. is there a way to adjust this thing?
I have the same problem with my MK4 n/a's. The inside of the rim is scrapping. I am going to fix this by adding spacers soon.. But for now I will just be careful not to scrape.
What offset are your rims, I have no lock-to-lock clearance issues with my 9" wide rims up front. I think you may have too large of an offset, making your rims sit too far in. If this is the case, you can fix this with spacers.
Also your bump stops are small rubber pieces that fit around the shocks piston rod, inside the spring as in the pic below (it is the orange thing), so there is no way you could be hitting your bump stop.
i have the same problem with my mkiv TT rims/ 255/40 falken azenis up front. i'm going to adjust the steering stops so that doesn't happen anymore. (until i get longer studs and spacers)
