Sorry it's kind of long, but I didn't want to leave out any details about how great I day I had, haha
===================================================
I'm kind of one that doesn't believe in luck or have too many good things happen to them. So I came to the conclusion that it's because of my outlook on life and the only way for me to change my situation is for me to just not even focus on any negativity and if I do, to think about 2 positives that happened to me that day for every 1 negative I thought about.
So anyways, I went to Disney World with some friends this weekend and I decided to put my new philosophy to the test. The first good thing to happen to me was that my friend's sister was able to get me, her and her brother (my friend) discounted park hopper tickets (we got almost a 50% discount). So I was already on cloud 9 from that... but then we decide to just start riding any and everything. Well we get off of ride #2 and guess what...
Disney is doing this "Year of a million dreams" promtion thing and me and my two partners in crime had just becomes winners of it! We had no idea what we won and they wouldn't tell us, only that we should meet at a certain place at 8pm but we didn't care it was an awesome start to an awesome day. So right after that we went to eat, and upon leaving the restaurant I discovered that I had lost my phone somewhere along the line. But instead of getting mad or upset I said "screw it! this will not keep me from having an awesome day...I'll worry about it later"
So instead of going to search for it, we pressed on to more rides. We rode almost every major ride there with little or no wait time. Awesome day, just got even MORE awesome. So then we decided to try and get a reservation at a restaurant over at MGM studios... the Sci-Fi drive in diner. It's a cool place, you sit in little car shaped tables and watch cartoons, but anyways, we ended up getting a reservation and had some great food and good time to just reflect on the day. Awesomeness meter is rising!
Oh yeah, right before eating at the diner, we got in line to ride Rockin' Rollercoaster (which is now my most favorite ride) and the wait time was 45 minutes. Well after waiting like 10 they decided for whatever reason to turn the line into the turbo Supra line! So we ended up making it through all the waiting in like 5 minutes! (15ish minutes total) Awesomeness meter rising even more!
But back to the "year of a million dreams" thing. We went to the place we were supposed to meet at the time we were supposed to be there and then one of the high ranking disney guys comes out and is like..."Have you ever wondered to yourself...'what would it be like to have the whole park to myself??' ...well, you're about to find out in about 10 minutes!" :biglaugh:
It was us 3 and like 100-120 other people and we had the entire park to ourselves for a little over an hour! So we ride every ride we didn't get a chance to earlier with 0 wait time and plenty of room to spare, haha. Awesomeness meter is now reading "Max Awesomeness"!
Well we get to the Haunted Mansion (we rode it earlier) and then on the way out, I decided to ask if they had by chance found a cell phone there. The lady goes "yeah we found one, go ask that guy if he can go see if it's yours"...and what do you know! They had my phone! Awesomeness meter then exploded. It was seriously probably the best day of my "adult" life.
Oh yeah, did I mention this was my first time at Disney World??
