Hello all, I don't post often but I have something of a dilemma right now. I just got my entire engine rebuilt and working perfectly, and just two weeks after the rebuild was done, my turbo has started smoking on me.

This is especially frustrating because I had my turbo rebuilt about a year ago but only put about 4-5k miles on it, but the shop that rebuilt it told me it had "only a three month warranty" so I'm out of luck. This does make me worry that maybe the turbo has something like a cracked exhaust housing causing the burn, so even brand-new seals wouldn't fix it, making it "unrebuildable".

So what do you guys recommend for a sure-fire way to get a good, dependable turbo that I can DD without breaking the bank? Obviously a local solution would be preferred, I'm in Minnesota. Thanks for the advice!

What are your power goals? Did you upgrade your fuel or AFM or anything? Do you wanna stick with a CT26, get an upgraded CT or go with a bolt on upgrade, like the BOSS?

Well, genuinely my power goals I'd put at 400hp while not having to deal with the (crappy) reliability of an upgraded CT-26, but I'm a college student and I know better, so for now I'm thinking I will stick with a stock CT, hopefully that one posted earlier in the thread...
