When my supra (auto turbo 7m to manual 1JZ) was swapped at Sound Performance my rear tail lights worked with no problem. Then my motor died and I swapped the motor (rebuilt) to a new shell (auto turbo 7m to manual 1jz). What was forgotten on the second swap? Was there connection that had to be made or something? I do notice that my lights are stuck on high brights, not the dim brake lights. Any ideas?

the only thing i had to deal with on my swap was the reverse lights since i went from auto to manual (and thats just wiring in the switch you cant wire it wrong really unless you use the 2 wrong wires). anything besides that is not related to the swap

switch in the pedal might be bad.. Its not related to the 1jz swap

If the switch were stuck in the on position then it would stay full brights at all times, but the lights are only on full brights when the head lights turn on.

Sounds like the wrong bulb is in one of your sockets. I would check the numbers and make sure they are all correct.

The bulbs are fine.

It could be as simple as a ground not connected correctly on the body somewhere, also make you each bulb has " 2 " filaments it, the wrong bulbs would case this to happen. Check fuse lol.
