the tuning isn't important.....it's 11.5 A/F ratio across the graph from 2k to redline....I saw it myself. Its the fact my cams are not lined up

If your cams dont line up take off the timing belt and line them up . Why get cam gears?

That power is weak. I wouldnt even drive it if the cams are off teeth

ya im curious also, just how much material was removed from the head and block? something sound fishy...all the slack should be on the tensioner side...so it should be tight from the crank up to the intake cam gear..in anti-clockwise..

You also need a fuel pump. I'd be VERY suprised if he was actualy able to see those air fuel ratios. If so.. he is really adding fuel at the top end to compensate.

On a similarly equiped car, We would see fuel pressure drop fast at 5k rpms. Once over those revs, EGT started to peak over 900C. Under 5k, they were great even into 5th gear.

AL: I'm running a walbro 255....what more do I need.

Joel : I haven't said how much, because I don't know, the engine was rebuilt before I got it, and I don't know if the block was milled or not, but it was AWFUL smooth when I tore it down. I rebuilt it again, because it had rod knock 26 miles into their rebuild. I took the head to the machine shop and they said they just "polished" up the gasket surface, because it was straight and fairly smooth. I've retimed this thing about 20 times now, and always make sure the slack is out of the right side(looking at it from the front), and nothing changes. If I move the cam gears one way, I get massive amounts of boost, with no power, the other I don't get boost until 5k rpm...

hmmm ok it sounds like your definatly doing it right to me. a freind mentioned to me that cam timing was only needed if more than .050 thous was removed, not sure how accurate this is but thought id share it..

MDC: PM me your number

so, I doubt .050 was taken off.....the pistons come up to the top of the deck, but not above. If its not cam timing, what else can it be?
