2 yrs ago i bough my friend 89 turbo targa wit blown head gasket for 300 wit 17 inch rims !! I have stock headgasket . So i took my time wit the build i got the head back together. I have ran into some problems .1 the coolant lines behind the intake manifold. . 2 the Vacum lines from the Egr .. i have a block off plates but after reading the 411 on cooler egt temps im gonna invest in a Egr soon . 3 What would the best step up i could go wit to get atleast 300hp at the wheels .So if any one reading this and has any 411 that can help it would be much appreciated ......Roc

300 horses can be reached fairly easily on the stock turbo

Boost Controller
BIC DDP
3 inch exhaust
Intake
Intercooler
And good stock turbo

Your right around 300 if not more to the wheels.

There was a guy on here the other day who reached over 300 with just intake exhaust but with an AWESOME tune!

i forgot to mention i got arp headstuds..

You didnt say how much torque you have on them though, the general consensus has been that the MINIMUM torque you should be putting on your hg is about 74-76 ft/lbs the stock 54ft lbs is NOT good enough if you go by the book.

How many miles are on this car??? How is the shaft play on the turbo? Does it smoke on deceleration?

Its easy to make power on this car but i just dont want to see you go for hp on a motor that wont handle it. From what i have read those are the main things i would worry about.

btw welcome to the forums.
