If some shitface mechanic ever told any of my friends that their oil fucking froze and that they "unlocked" it I would seriously storm the place, find the mechanics involved and just let loose screaming at the motherfuckers.

This is theft and should be dealt with. DONT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT!!

Hell, if it was closer, I'd even be willing to drive out there and yell some obscenities for ya. She should definately get her money back if they charged her for "Unlocking Oil".

...Fucking dishonest mechanics hit a nerve of mine....

First of all, yelling obscenities at a man holding a sixteen inch crescent wrench isn't exactly smart..............:biglaugh:

I would definately report them to the Better Buisiness Bureau and let everyone I know that they are crooks. If she won't listen to you Matt, then buy the car because a fool and his money are soon parted. You can lead a horse to frozen oil, but you can't make her keep her car................:biglaugh:

JAV, how did you take the oil out once you got it froze. Nevermind, I'm sure you got it out, cause you're just cool like that..................

Frozen oil......

First thought was maybe she got it mixed up and they said she ran out of oil and froze the engine. Then the clicking part hit me, and that it only cots $200.

Yeah, I'm sure alternator. I think Jonathan has it. The "oil unfreezing machine" would've been a batter charger, and the alternator is shot, and thats why it will die in a week.

Why not do this. Tell her to drive it, use all her accessories a lot, and when it dies again, call you. Go meet her w/ a new battery, money is that it will work. Then have her call the mechanics late afternoon, tell them she's having the car towed late that night for them to look at it again. Drive the car there and swap battery out for the old one. Show up w/ her in the morning and act as clueless as her. Have her tell them it died and ask what to do. When they say the oil is frozen and the engine has gone, whip out new battery and install in front of their asses, start the car, and demand her money back. Perhaps have the BBB on the phone as well......

Jackasses...

What a worthless piece of trash. What was the name of the place? I live in Columbus, ~20 minutes away for those that don't know. Wanna know so I can tell people not to go there. If you can spare it, get the stuff, go over to her house with it, fix it in front of her and at least one parent, drive to the shop in the car. Throw out the "I'll report you if you don't pay up" line, get the money then report their ass anyway. Karma FTW

I have a good story from today, I was talking to this chick on MSN and she asked if my car was a Probe. I told her no, she then went on at length about how much she likes Probes and wants to get one......

Napiers... or however it's spelled.

Gonna go take a look at it tonight, I'll bring said battery and the alt/battery tester. Who knows, maybe I'll bring it home? :icon_bigg I told her about a million times yesterday to just drive it, but her and her family are having no part in that.
