My Stock boost gauge isn't working properly!

Hi all!

Just bought a sweet 89 Cherry coloured Supra here, and I've noticed that my boost gauge isn't working quite as it should. Im sure turbo is working correctly. The gauge doesn't move at all when im idleing, or even when revving while standing in place. When I start moving and press the pedal down(boost hard) the boost indicator jumps to ceiling.

What could be the issue here? a broken vacoom hose? Is the stock boost gauge electronically moved or manually(with vacoom)?

Everything you describe is normal.

The stock gage is electronically moved by way of a vacoom transducer on the left inside fender...

Yep normalish. My bros car (pyrite) reads nothing till you hit 0 lbs then will work up to 8. Try getting it up on boost then slowly spool the turbo up and down should read pretty smooth through that. If its just jumping from nothing to to 8. Then I don't think its working right.
