Well last week I bought myself my first Supra. It was listed as an 88 with 160xxx miles in the Northern Colorado Craigslist for $1000. I borrowed enough to get it (I deliver chinese, my coworkers usually have cash on hand, and I am good with them, it works). Anyways, it turns out when I registered, it is a 1986.5 mk3.... I was at first pissed, but I got to thinking, it's a genuine collector. I got over being mad really quick, after all, I have never owned a sports car. Pics are coming. I know no pics=not a good post I am working on it. So lets start off; the car has a good sized rust spot on the passenger door, I have a replacement, but it's white, and my car is black. It does run for the most part, I have some problem that is lingering and pissing me off quite a bit. The car starts everytime, but seems like it doesn't get any gas, I have replaced the fuel filter, but to no avail, I am going to be checking the distributor tomorrow with all the plugs, and wires. Doesn't smoke at all, good clean oil and just a small coolant leak in the lower part of the engine bay. I will be working on a 1jz swap when cash comes in. Right now, I am only concerned about it running and looking into a cheap Maaco paint job when I replace the door. So yeah, it runs really really good after I run it about 3k rpms for like 5 mins, and I am extremely happy with it, project, but I am ok with it. Pics coming soon............ I promise :biglaugh:
