So sorry to hear what happened mate... SM will pull through for you and your son though :)

Just be thankful the car didn't look like mine when she was stolen:

(the engine bay was the same... barely anything left... They also took my wheels)

In addition to the stereo surround that i have, i have a blue dash that you can attempt to dye gray if you'd like. You can basically HAVE the stuff....its in a parts car that may very well end up in a scrapyard soon....

I've had great luck painting interior pieces that don't see a lot of wear, this would probably work very well. You need to buy both the spray prep and the paint, clean it very carefully, and spray multiple coats, however the effort is well worth it, you will end up with a part that looks far superior than anything else out there that's been used.

mine was broken into, and the center console was ripped out and shit, but nothing was taken...

put the center console back, and fixed the window and you couldn't tell anything had happened..!

Can't put any of my stuff back. My dashboard was torn out with a crow bar. Most of the plastic dashboard structure is shattered and cracked. The center console from the front edge of the gear shift selector back towards the rear of the car looks fine but it might have some structural cracks that I am not aware of.

Needs a dash, and also you need an alarm with a sensor that keeps people from getting up close. I have my sensor so that when people get up close to my window it goes off. you will not believe how many people this keeps from hovering over my car while drawing attention to them. I have personally seen people trying to figure out how to get close to look in without making the alarm go off. Every time they get near...it sounds off causing them to back away. Thieves hate attention.

If you could give me some info on that alarm that would be great. I have never seen one that had a proximity warning.
Thanks

I was told by a member up in Canada that my interior is Shadow Gray. I have also been told by a few other people that it could be medium gray.
Can you tell my the pics that I posted on the 1st page of this thread??
I need to know for sure.

Thats what I thought. I found a few pics of shadow gray and it looks much darker.
My interior looks basically like the same shade as standard primer gray.

medium grey.

I went out and took a look at it again. The car is a 1987 and it has a stock interior/with a burgandy exterior.

Sorry to keep harping on this but I really need to know what color my gray interior is.

The seats are cloth and they are what I consider light gray. They are pretty much exactly the same shade as primer gray. The carpet is the same color as the seats.
The dash and the rest of the interior trim is darker gray. Its about 1 or 2 shades darker than the seats and the door inserts. I have seen pics of shadow gray and some of them look almost as dark as charcoal gray. There are also some pics here on the forum of shadow gray that looks exactly like my color.
The thread I read stated that there was only 1 shade of gray offered for 1987
Its called Grey.
Is that what my interior is?? Is there a paint code somewhere on the code telling me what color my interior is??

It is a medium grey, even tho there are different shades of it used throughout the interior. Only in the 90+ ones was the shadow grey offered (pictured below... as close to black as you can get).

I suggest that you get whatever dash is available and just repaint it to match. I've dyed/painted several sets of interiors and you'd never know what the original color of my dash was, unless you saw the pics... Brown dash being painted black... Another is a shadow grey being painted black. Pics of the paints/dye used bleow.
