Well I just bought a 91 MKIII Supra Turbo Targa a few weeks ago. Bought it with 116xxx miles, only things done to the car are ARP studs, some unknown suspension and 17" Borbet wheels but also came with a set of MKIV wheels. It is my daily until they start salting/ brining the roads and since I live in Columbus Ohio who knows when that will be.

I'm not entirely new to Supras, I bought an already half-assed modified (tokiko springs, 3" full exhaust, HKS BoV, manual boost controller set at 15lbs with everything else stock :nono:) 88 MKIII turbo targa when I was 17 and treated it like any dumbass 17 year old does and blew up the motor causing me to rebuild it 2 times and sell it after the 3rd. Which is why I plan to treat this one right and modify it properly.

I already put on a full 3" exhaust with a Tanabe Medallion cat-back after the stock down pipe tore off just under the turbo exhaust elbow and installed a boost gauge in the stock dash location.

My plans for this car are to keep it as a fun but capable daily.

Where in Columbus are you located? I'm positive I saw your car on Fisher and Wilson about a month ago! I swear MKIII's have been popping up left and right lately. My Supra's not running, but we ought to meet up sometime, I'd like to check the car out.

Welcome to Supramania!!

Welcome to SM. Similar story here. After 3rd head gasket on my first MKIII (with not-well-thought-out mods), I walked away in disgust. Couldn't get it outta my head, so I came back a couple of years ago, this time with a 1JZ swap for greater reliability. Oh, and I have learned a thing or two about how to mod a car in a sane way, also for reliability's sake. lol

lol, its funny... I have a red 90 and a grey 88 as well. : )
If you are replacing trim on your red one, mine has grey trim and it looks really good as well (so if you wonder... )

After getting it detailed. It was ridiculous how much paint he had to take off to get it to this point but it feels better to drive a car that looks good.
