Two years ago I bought a silver 87 Supra 5speed N/a and yes this was my first car. After having it for a summer, I got a BHG!! Over the winter I got an engine swap to the 7mgte. I had the turbo motor for about 2 months, and decided I was going to sell the Supra and buy something else (probibly the dumbest idea I have ever had). Anyways, I assume the Supra gods decided they didnt want this car in the hands of the kid that was going to buy it and I got hit the day before he was going to buy.

After that I owned two other cars. The first was a red 1992 eagle talon tsi, it was a 5 speed but only front wheel drive. The first thing I had to do to that car was swap the turbo out since it looked like someone shoved a screwdriver in it while it was spinning. Then it ended up getting a new clutch, new flywheel and syncros. I ended up trading it for a 1994 Mustang Gt that was also a 5 speed. I was excited that it was rear wheel drive but it was absolutely gutless. It must have had 273 gears in it.

I soon got sick of the mustang and really wanted to own another Supra. I called up my buddy that had an 87 Supra that I thought was blue, and asked if he would let go of it. He was going on a big trip in the summer and needed money for school so he decided he better sell it because he doesnt have the time or money to spend on it anymore. I ended up trading the mustang for the Supra and some extras. He also gave me $2000 on top of that. He ended up selling the mustang about a month later for $5000 cash.

When I first got the car I realized that it was black and had a targa! It had no bumpers when I bought it, but he had bumpers from an auto wrecker that needed to be painted. It also had side skirts I never cared for either. The first thing I did was got the bumpers painted and put on. The second thing I did was put on 89+ tails. From there Idealsupra sold me his 89+ spoiler and 89+ mouldings that I painted black. It now has eibach springs and I bought some black sportmax 006's. Im running 18x9.5 all around with 255's up front and 265's out back. I also gave it a good clean, clay, polish and wax. :D

For the future I plan on getting some body work done on the drivers side rear quarter panel. I also plan on doing a 2JZ swap this winter coming up.

Nice, One day would luv to end up with a clean black targa 5spd car. Also you have the rims that i plan on buying for my current mkiii. Have you experienced any rubbing issues? Are the fenders rolled? How much did u pay total for the rims and tires?

Good luck with ur project. Im definitively following this one closely.

Thanks :D

My fenders arent rolled since the eibach are stiff and only drop 1.5" front and 1" rear. I have no rubbing issues and im running 35R tires. I got the rims for $1000 shipped here but there's lots of cheaper places in the states. I also got the tires cheap since they were used. It costed me a total of $1448 cdn with taxes.

Thanks. :)

Yeah I was never a fan of the skirts. I might still get it back to stock at the end of the summer when I get the rear quater panel fixed. It will cost me about $700 to remove both side skirts and return it to looking stock. I might have to buy the mud flap pieces from an autowrecker but oh well. With the quarter panel work and front fender painted ill be spending around $2300+ tax. :aigo:

Yes they are APC! Crazy, I know. They arent the greatest quality construction (cheap plastic) but the light they give off is pretty sweet. I havent had any problems with them for the 4+ months ive had them in. They have survived the elements and washing so far. Im pretty sure they went out of buisness, but maybe you can find them on ebay?
