Demianu: Good luck! I wish I had read this earlier. When I read your initial post, I looked at where you were, mapquested the distance from myself, and thought "pff... that's only a 4 hour drive..."
I wouldn't have hesitated to help, still won't if you need it.
Give me a place to sleep, and I'll only charge half of what Toyota wanted. ;)
Seriously, though. If not me, I'm sure someone closer would be happy to help out a fellow mk3 owner in need.

Up there, you asked how to disable your antilock brake system...
It is disabled. When a sensor is bad, the system faults to non-abs.
Again, I'm sure one of us has a used sensor that works well, and IIRC it's located in the transmission...

have fun.
this is just the beginning!

That's some intresting information, I just realized something about the ABS problem I have.

The car runs just fine at idol after start-up, the Antilock warning light isn't on. Then, after about a minuite of driving, I'll hear a buzzing sound from under the hood. If I use my brakes while this sound is occuring, the brakes will pulsate and click, and pretty much not work so great. The buzzing sound will end after about 15 seconds and the Antilock warning light will come on and stay on.

I hear the same buzzing sound as soon as I start to drive for like 3 seconds, but no problems...

yep, a bad speed sensor.... it's making the abs ecu think one of your wheels isn't moving with the others and it's trying to compensate.

EDIT: oh and the sensors are in each wheel's knuckle, not the tranny.

Not in the rear. The Supra is a 3-channel system, it has 1 sensor, on the tranny, for both rear wheels.

Speed sensor part numbers:

$95.00 - 89544-14030 - Automatic
$105.00 - 89544-14020 - 5-Speed Turbo
$105.00 - 89544-14010 - 5-Speed N/A

By the way, the dpeed sensor only takes a few minutes to replace... However, it may not be the problem. The TRSM has you check a bunch of things, before replacing it. I have the code and replaced the ECT and speed sensor (with known-good ones) and I still have the code... probably some bad connection/wire.... I just haven't had time to get to it this week.

Oh, and as far as dealer parts. Jeff Watson (Champion Toyota) and Curt (Elmhurst Toyota) are the go-to guys (there may be more, but these are the two I use from the forums). Never, ever, ever, never pay retail!

NEVER!
