Car was originally purchased from Jon Doward about 3 or 4 years ago.Was pretty much stripped as he was selling it for parts. It turned out to be in better condition than the one I had at the time.So I spent 3 years researching and buying parts as many of us on here.

It is the HKS dual Drager that was of that time period specificlly made for competition for that car. Yes it is stainless steel. At the time I purchased it, either on this site &/or SF people were stating there were only like 6 in the country. Don't know if the quantity is true or not . If you use the search button you should be able to find some others on here or SF w/ same set up. Mine came directly off a JZA70R that was imported(after market of course). Sounds like no other exhaust I know of. Tame @ idle, violent @ full throttle!
With my after market y- pipe, the only thing keeping it from being a complete true dual exhaust is the 3' section of3" downpipe connecting the split twins to the split exhaust. Glad you guys like it. I'll try to get better pics to put up today for you.

is the cat-back a modified 2jz exhaust?

No. It is specially designed for the JZA70 chasis. I suppose fitting to the engine depends on your downpipe. Sorry for saying it was only for the 1J. I really don't know that for sure ,since there were other engines in that chasis in Japan as well. The pipe routing however was for the A70 chasis.

Yeah, hope these are a better representation. I would have to put it on a lift to get them any better. I do have a pic stored on my computer of one on another supra. Can't remember who's it is,but his pics are what started my search for mine. I want to thank him because mine are the only set I have ever seen for sale ,before or since my purchase. I suppose you could make a replica from the uninstalled pic, but you won't get that HKS sound without using HKS mufflers. I suppose the Y-pipe and 2JZGTE cams help too. Sounds like an airplane when I'm cruising through town in 2nd gear.
