I love driving a car that is boosted. I am still very new about supra but getting to learn the difference in performance between being supercharged and being turbo. I can admit it is different. I am use to flooring the car and getting instant power. I knew my car inside out but the supra is so confusing as of now. My old car is a 2000 Toyota Solara Supercharged V6 with a rare manual transmission model. The car puts down 300+ hp and it was a joy and pride. I can't wait to make my supra my next pride and joy.

how much did you pick this up for? just to get an idea

I brought the car in stock form and blew about 10 grand on the car to get it like that. Everything on that car is pretty much discontinued. I got the car for 5 grand with 60K miles on it at an auction. You can find them for about 9 used.

I am not spoiled nor a rich kid. I put my heart and time into that car. 95% of all work done on that car is by myself and by my own sweat. I threw all my money that I earn from work into this car. SO many people thinks my parent paid for it. But nope. I am proud of this car. Only down fall is high compression is aluminum block :(

Different belt driven superchargers yield drastically different dyno curves and drivability.

A centrifugal supercharger has no bottom end to speak of. Lag would be an understatement.

My mom has a 2001 Toyota Solara SLE v6 edition one. She wanted to give it to me but she told me i'd have to sell the supra & pay like 2,000. In the end I choose my supra over it. If it had an 7m in it or 2j then i'd reconsider ;).

Thanks. I tried to keep the car as original looking as possible. I never got a chance to take it to the track nor car shows in the finish dyno tuning. I sold the car to an another member and he Fugged it up badly. HydroLocked the motor in 3 feet of water........ I have no idea how you can not see 3 feet of water.

I forgot to add.. 3ft with daylight. Not nighttime.

I am glad I sold it somewhat. If I never did then I would still be stuck in the FWD drive. I can't wait to take my supra home from the shop.
