The problem is in the 7m-ge tech section. I don't mind getting messed with, as long as my Supra runs at the end of the day. I would love to learn how to check engine codes. As far as I know, it can be done with a meter or paper clip, and how many times the meter jumps is the code or something?

I have a minor lack of knowledge to small random stuff, but I had a 83 that taught me everything. I blew it up and got it back running again, best way to learn IMO.

There are a few of us that can really feed your head, so dont hesitate to ask ANYTHING... *try search too, lol* As a community, we have our jokers, like Hero, :D:D:D but for real, you can seriously learn ALOT about your car from just hangin around here and asking the right people the right questions...

Yeah I understand. Here's what I've learned from being on the CS.com (they are really nice guys, but they give tough love...) forum, and owning my last 83 project.

Arc welding (good penitration and bead)
Fiberglassing
Paint
NA-T basics
A/F control basics
Where stuff goes
What stuff does
How stuff works
How to restore
Any basic minor problem fix.

I took the 83 Supra and figured out what it takes for a na-t. Took about a year to find out 90% of the useful get-to-know's. But yes, I'm a kid who is willing to learn, I make mistakes, and have a short temper (watch out king of the hill!)

haha j/k

I doubt I'll know the answer to many of your questions but I have tons of stuff saved on my computer so I can probably look it up.............:biglaugh:

If you're wanting a rematch on the King of The Hill, you'll have to meet me half way. I'm tired of driving to Kentucky and through Kentucky.........:biglaugh:

Trust me I don't know that much, but I know I want the Supra restored back the way it was in 87' (or try). I have the original reciept and it states 22k! That's crazy I didn't know they were that much in 87!

+1 for another non-moronic 16 year old. I saw that car on autotrader, paint looks sweet.

I can be dumb at times, I'm still a kid who cannot support himself (sigh). Well I'm thankful for having a forum to learn from, people to learn from, and at least 1 good class in school to learn how to weld (MIG process)

it feels good to know you worked for something.
Are you sure you are only 15?? Most adults don't even have that mindset. Sad really. Anyway, welcome to the site. Like Reign said, this site is full of good information and good people. If you have any questions, just ask. (after you have exhausted the search feature) Also, buy a TSRM, or just refer to the online version at cygnusx1.net from time to time. It's our bible. And remember, as the great SC once told me, "It's when we stop messing with you, that you are in trouble".
