Name on the title is Nourbakash Babak. That sounds pretty middle eastern to me.

no offense to him but at first glance it looks like his mom choked on something when they asked what name to put on the birth certificate....:biglaugh::biglaugh:

awesome car, i've been thinking about a mercedes myself what kinds of MPG do those cars get? power/torque/weight?

i think they're nice :) and who cares about the leather the fuzzy seats are cool, warmer, and won't burn you or make you sticky.:icon_bigg

LOL, i still hate the fuzzy seats :p

And it makes 185hp/192ft-lb...weighs 3649lbs. And I would say the MPG is pretty decent...I sat in LA traffic for about 1.5 hours, and only used 1/8 tank of gas...so it's probably around 20MPG...maybe a little more on the highway.

Just a little update...this has been the most reliable car I have ever owned. I have now put about 6k miles on it, and it never falters. Just put some new tires on it, that's it. I wouldn't be surprised if this car lasts another 20 years. Gotta be one of the 10 best chassis ever. Here are a couple more recent pics for those that haven't seen them:

I've also acquired a Diesel Mercedes that looks like it will be taking this car's place soon. Anyone interested in buying the S class?

Nice cars. I have a 1993 300d myself and it always seems to turn heads. Most people don't realize that these are some of the most reliable, well-built cars on the road. Plenty of people will tell you "Yeah but if it breaks your screwed!". These people are idiots...:biglaugh: At 193k, I've replaced a few wear items and it couldn't be much easier. Mercedesshop.com forums are a great resource BTW.

God you buy nothing but Mercedes lol

Looks like another sharp car... Fat, but sharp.

Haha, well I would buy something other than a Mercedes, but there's only one Supra! :biglaugh: Oh, and the S-class doesn't really weigh that mush more than the Supra... O_O

Dont replace the S class!

Haha, I wouldn't replace it, but the MPG is beginning to be a problem since I drive SO MUCH. I feel like I'm always at the gas station...if it weren't for that tho, I would totally keep it. The diesel just seems like a more economical decision...but they are now worth so much that I almost don't want to drive it!

I agree completely...I think a W123 Mercedes is in the Guinness book as being the highest mileage car...(someone correct me if I'm wrong) but I believe it was a diesel that was used as a taxi.

These old Mercedes will still be kicking around when most of the cars on the road today have long been forgotten.
