Im from Bayonne! Where exactly did you pick up the car? Very nice find. I have never seen it around.

it was right off i78 i think, on avenue b.

jay, haha yea.. even though its a 4 cyl its not the best on gas.. that and the turbo spools faster then even the stock jz twins! this thing seems to always want to boost. On the way home I got 23-25 mpg, but at 80MPH its reving like 3800 rpm.. Its geared pretty short.

not the same motor as SW20.. but still a great 2nd Gen. my friend has built two of those and sold them and still has an imported GT4 Kai.

its extremely expensive to build them but there is no better 4cyl in my opinion than a 3S. the guy that i was referring to owns the shop that did my swap and he has since moved on to the 2J craze because he was unsatisfied with how much money he had sunk into his 3s motors only to yield minuscule results.

hopefully you'll have better luck :icon_bigg and thats an awesome DD haha

(Does yours have the water to air IC or just air? and annoying rob is correct the supra CT26 is a nice upgrade)

On another note, a Supra CT26 on that motor will get rid of the motor choking after 6k. Fun cars though. My friends GT-four out-launches my fucking supra.

I thought the flanges were different, in the ST185 as opposed to the ST165. ;)

Damn you Tissmo. Damn you. ;)

This GT4 has a Air to Air Intercooler, but the ST165 did?

haha, stock turbo is going to stay for now. I'm going to max it out and then go up from there to the 35r :) or maybe 3040..

I'll get pics of the engine/inteiror tonight or tomorrow.

Actually both the ST185, and ST165 share the same flange, which is identical to the Supra flange, only divided. The major difference is the flange to the downpipe, which has two wastegate ports in it instead of one.

It's a really simple fix though. Remove, and swap exhaust housings. The exhaust wheels are the same size. Hell, all I did was leave the exhaust housing bolted into the car.

Tissmo: GT35R = GT3540. They're the same turbo, just different names.

GT35R is a GT3582 ball bearing. GT3540 is an unofficial name standing for a GT35 with a GT40 compressor wheel (a GT4082 wheel to be exact.) Sort of like the old T3/T4 names.

At any rate, it's an 82mm exducer wheel.

Good find Justin. With gas the way it is, it seems this wouldb be the better daily driver, but it may not get any better gas mileage than your supra.

Don't listen to Jay. If you start DD this thing, I will take it away from you :icon_evil

There's only like 1200 left in the US. One day I'll come across one...
