so ive been thinkin for awhile if i should make this thread or not...but i decided i cant let some of the muscle car lovers on here be denied by this diamond in the rough...

i found this car in a local ad paper and just had to call the guy...he is holding it for me and my dad and i are going to pick her up saturday...

this is what $1500 can get you if you know what to look for:evil2:
p528563_1.jpg

$500 in rims
$150 in tires
$300 spoiler
$400 hood

and dont worry...the fugly bra is off...

here is what im MOST proud about...street built 350
eldbrock carb, intake, and manifold
it has a cam swap that gives it a niice lobe
dual into single exhaust (for now) that has a niice growl and only gets meaner as the RPMs go higher
MSD ignition and a performance coil

:naughty: i like that $1500 deal!! and she runs!!! now could someone check out my forsale thread?? the supra has to go now... :-( i know...its sad...BUT my parts resource for muscle cars are greater than toyota parts

i look around...and am patient....plus the guy is gettin divorced and he doesnt want the cars nemore...it caused him to loose his lisence too...so i know its fast..

but ive got a few 350s just sitting in my garage so that might be the DD motor and somethin beefer might go in for the weekends or when i wanna show off some muscle power

a supra that we cant get running because my dad doesnt know anything about the motor and wont listen to reason with my suggestions...

or a muscle car...when my dad use to build chevy racing motors for local racers...and i have 4 motors and 3 trans sittin in my garage...

parts are SOOO easy for me to get around here...just go to a junk yard and pick them up....they arent as complex as the toyota motor...and much easier for ME to learn with...

which would you have taken if you were in my situation??

and fyi...the supra is still nice and warm in my garage sitting next to my dads 1968 camaro with 45,000miles

ummm yes, but you DID say you were selling it....

I am not belittiling you btw, just cracking jokes

however, I taught myself mostly about these cars. The prior experience I did have was limited to the 4.0 inline 6 Jeep engine. Grandpa had me rebuild it. When the Supras came along, he really didn't know much about them other than just the basics of any other engine

point is, if you want something bad enough, you'd figure out how to get it/keep it.

btw, camaros are pony cars, not muscle ;)

lol....id like to think anything with 350hp has some muscle :)

and as for working on cars...its all been just helping...im scared as hell that if i do rip into the supra...that im gonna mess sumthin else up even more...so id like to sell it to a fellow supra lover...

at least if i mess something up on this...i have free parts laying around that i can attempt to fix it with

Im like Tanya, I didnt know SHIT about cars really last year. I bought the Supra bc it was my only choice, but I want nothing else now. My engine threw a rod and i bought all the tools, read the TSRM, asked questions and not TOO long later my car was back on the road with a strong rebuilt engine which is at about 3500 miles from that rebuild now, working wonderfully. Just needs a new 02 Sensor :(

Anyways, I used to be heavy into domestics myself, firebirds, camaros, mustangs, Ive owned them and loved them. Once I bought my supra I cant imagine NOT having it anymore. I love it.

Id say keep the supra and dive into the project, it depends whats wrong but hey I think if your dad knows all of that about domestics, this wont be hard. After I rebuilt my engine, I ahve since had to dive into numerous friends vehicles, domestics included and using common sense and my new found basic engine knowledge, have been able to fix tons of shit.

parents help me with gas...ive been looking for work for over a month now...

i HATE the informalities of filling out applications online and over a computer...everyone needs to stick to the paper ones
