Brought the Supra Home today , Something is wrong with it . The engines runs smooth but the car wont go over 20 mph . It just stays like in 1st gear soo I am sad. Hmm, It supoosely needs some vacum sensors and stuff so I will do some more thing to it 2morro to see if I can get it running any better . Im exhausted and fustrated. Grrrrrrr

I believed I would get my supra, drive it and be like WOw this is the most fun I have ever had driving. Yup, I found out once again. Nothing in life is easy .
But hey, the Ac Works Yippie woop woop. I now have a car with good Ac for summer and that sounds like a speed demon due to the turbo going shhhhhhh zzzzzzzzzzz..But they dont know the limit is 20 mph Muahahahahahha. Wait that sucks for me not them

Ugh BlueChu, I hope So. I woke up at 6 am and berely got home to rest. Well I been running around looking for sensors, and doing stuff to it like a new clutch fan because the engine was overheating. Boost Leak? Turbo Dying? NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! not yet . Iono, I have never had this problem with a car. Its automatic, soo right after 1st gear the engine goes into this stage like if its neutral, I accelrate and nada (nothing) and I am sure the Turbo is going because once you let go of accelrator you hear that zzzz or wait do you hear it when you accelrate it a little bit then let go. So im not sure if its a Turbo problem, Engine, Sensors. AHHHHHHHH. :aigo:

Actually I ran my supra till I needed to replace my head gasket with one knock sensor unplugged...

Two things will and can cause this.

Boost Leak
Intercooler Hoses i had the lower hose from the turbo blow off and it shot out black smoke out the tail pipe. The car will spool the turbo but you wont be going anywhere.


Knock Sensors
They are on the side of the block screwed in you have two of them.
But before you do anything check for codes.
Code 34 is Turbocharger Area Problem
Code 52 is Knock Sensor

You have to jump something in the diagnostic box.

Omg, Thanks a Million..... I have not even see the links but Yup, Black Smoke is coming out exhaust. Ima go ahead and better study what you are talking about, Just felt the need to thank you right away for the time you spent looking for links and thinking bout this issue.

Hey its no problem im happy to help ive been through this many times. Replace your spark plugs they are fouled by now

Most common ones to blow are the hose from the 3000 pipe to the throttle body, lower intercooler hose from the turbo to the intercooler, check your hoses for any small crack and replace it and get tbolt clamps make sure everything is extra tight. My guess is the lower intercooler hose.

Supposely I needed a new Water hose, I ordered one but it was too short soo I told dude to use the old ones the car had already. So I could atleast bring car home. I think all the hoses were in bad shape. I am not sure if we are talking about same hose. I have never had a turbo . Or a fast car for that matter lol. But I think we are aiming at the right problem, unless its the turbo dying because my car does sound alot like that mk4 in the vid. . If my turbo dies I will suffer a great deal. And once again thank you, Just so you know, I wont stop thanking you ever muahahaha lol .

Oh you won't suffer there are used turbo for sale up here all the time im sure the people here in town will help you if you just ask. Replace all your hoses, I've got a spare lower ic hose that I kinda patched up if you want it. Bluechulappa will help you too just talk to the houston guys
