Won't do it, I don't think.

I kept my shifter seat in and placed the piece that raises the pivot point on top. Thus letting the shifter itself sit higher. Keeping the shifts tight. basically, without going into a description, only a few threads thread, And since my car rides so stiff, it jiggled loose.

It came undone!!!!!!!

Since I kept the shifter bushing in there, it sits higher, and tightens the shifter right john?

But if I torque the plates down all the way, too much pressure is applied, thus making it impossible to move.

So i kept them snug, rattled loose LOL.

I just blue loctited them, and also cut the rubber heat insulator off my old shifter and put it on the new one. No more burning knob. Now i just need to make the knob face the right way
