My new 1JZ...

Will never be known as Kyles new 1JZ, It will always be Joes old Car. I dont have any problems with that.

As of today, December 14, I have some brand new Turn signals coming from KevinM, A shine auto type lip coming from, Shine auto.

I also purchased a 1992 supra turbo starter from Monument auto parts.. I was told thats my correct replacement for a 1jz. Ill be attempting to install that on saturday.

Ill Include some pictures most of you have seen, Taken by Aaron from Driftmotion and MattJK, when I went to LA, to take posession of the car.

I do have a question to ask of you guys, What is the easiest to use Turbo timer on the market. Im not looking for a bajillion features, But rather just something thats simple, and works.

Also, to anyone who has ever swapped a starter out of a 1jz, What should I have and or be ready for?

It looks a little more cramped than my 7M. It almost looks liek I need to goin underneath.

I like the Apexi unit. it has a volt meter, and a gimicky o2 meter which is just for fun. It has an automatic feature that measures how long you've been driving at speeds (by the o2 reading) and sets the time for you. Nice feature.

It is also two pieces, the main box goes under the dash and works with the hks harness adapter, and a small headunit goes on the dash. Here is a pic of one in my wrx.

I think I need to just find a new unit and wire it in properly

lol. I havnt touched my NA in days. Im gonna go put its battery back in before I shower. I dont want to drive her anymore as Im probably selling it to someone local.

My 1jz has gobs of power. This not Torque thing is bull. No car makes torque in 3rd gearm going 20mph going up a hill.

It does have less torque than a 7m, but not no torque. There is NO replacement for displacement... Other than 2 GT25r's :rofl:
