If it is a rear sump and has a mechanical fan, then it's a soarer 1jz. Reason I said wiring harness is because the color of the wires are slightly different from the jza70 1jz and the plugs going to the ECU are a different shape.

I see, is there a place that says all of this or is it just learning what is what.

as others have said, its a soarer 1jz, you can tell by the ECU (no flying lead and the plugs are on the side). use what you have, get some BIC motormounts and a shorter bolt (m10x1.25 x 40mm IIRC), if you are using no accessories i think there are only ~15-20 wires you need to splice (on my jza70 thats all i needed).

this will sound stupid but i say sell the harness to a needy soarer swapping guy, they are hard as hell to find and u can sell it for more than the cost of a jza70 one, lol so be nice sell it buy a supra one make a little cash and make a soarer guy happy too.

Also man, While I was at your shop asking about what your motor came out of, I realized it was a soarer because of the transmission. You have a early model soarer 5spd 1jzgte. If you notice your shifter pushes back like 2". All the nissan guys, aswell as the lexus guys are looking for that transmission. Very rare considering only 1jzgte soarer's came 5spd and no other model in the US or japan.

Well what I was saying is the shifter is going to fit further back into his mk3, not sure if it will work. But i'm sure we could work out a trade deal.

i was looking at that and noticed that it was, "after you said something lol". I think im just going to use the stock ma70 shifter, i haven't really looked into it to much, I hope it works lol.

Dude, if you have a soarer r154, DON'T MODIFY IT TO FIT. Sell that shit real quick, they aren't that easy to find, and you could sell it for a supra r154, 1jz bellhousing, with a little cash on the side. I have seen people trying to sell them for ~$700.

Or, you could sell the tranny without the bellhousing and get a supra r154.
