I finished creating this monster april 08. Got the mustang for free because it was basically totaled, had the engine laying around waiting for a car so it was fait. started the project in january 08 in my one car garage at school. everything was done by me, Im in college so this is my budget build so far i have about $1800 in it including title and plate fees. shes a little rough currently but all cosmetic stuff really. The chassis was an old ladys car had 35K original miles with a v6 TBI, auto.
currently this is what she looks like.

Very nice! :bigthumb:

Speaking of Ford's... the hubby made himself a CumFord. Due to lack of money it took over a year to get it road ready tho.

Anyway, I didn't even notice the photoshop work up until 92nsx's post, lol. Just thought it was a shiny hood... :biglaugh:

thanks everyone, a couple of people have brought up tokyo drift a few times. I saw it for the first time about a month or so before i was done building it. I no way in any shape or form want to be associated with anything that says fast and furious on it...:nono:

got body panels mounted up to start with bumper and radiator support.

p1162537_2.jpg

made everything as light as possible and only the basics. I made the radiator brackets mount to the side of the radiator so with radiator removed there is nothing on top.

my buddy did the photoshop work, sorry. The radiator being moved back a few inches in my opinion wouldnt change handling enuff to make it worth it. and the upper radiator hose has a 90 deg bend in it, the most you could move it would be maybe 2 in. if that. Id rather be able to use stock hoses....

old tank was rusty so i went with a new tank and straps , cleaned and painted floor above it.

brake booster wouldnt fit with intake manifold so i went with manual brakes.

Here you can see the radiator hold down's

shifter comes through in good spot.

This is what the car looks like with nose taken off. It removes eaisly by unpluging the lights and 4 bolts to fenders.

yes that is a piece of wood under the battery. waiting to buy small odyssey battery and make a mount for that.

I just got a hood from junk yard to replace the white one that had dents on it. Now i can finally paint it all one color. The car is great drives well, gets about 29mpg on highway. also in the works is 5-lug conversion with 02
2-piston mustang brakes and 17" bullet wheels with azenis 615's. car weighs without me in it 2910lbs.
