Back when they first came out there was one on the showroom floor of a Ford Dealership in Corning Ar. I believe it was. And every once in a while there is a Grey one with white stripes that runs through the town just north of me where I work.

From my limited understanding of the topic, the new 'GT40' is still only called the Ford GT, dispite its striking resemblance to the original Le Mans car, the GT40... Ford says the GT is merely "inspired by" the GT40. The major difference of course, is that you don't have to be a midget to drive the new GT, whereas most of us North Americans would have to chop off half a calf and lose a vertabrea, or the top of our skulls to fit in the old GT40, lol.

So, which was faster: The race built GT40 or the factory consumer GT?

I come from a land down under
And the new car would be nice to drive something the old one can't claim ;)
(I've sat in one and I'm NOT tall and found it cramped)

They had to put a bubble door on for one of their drivers so he could wear his helmet :)
