dam...........that sucks.

its cool you found a new one so fast though. and going from a n/a model to a turbo model at that. and fixing that car would be a BITCH and cost more than buying another one. he would have to replace both body harnesses and the engine harness. along with a whole swap or build. way better off with a fresh start if you ask me.

btw did you have the afpr line next to the terminal or not? and i don't see the big deal. some 25 cent zipties keeps the line from ever being able to touch the termial.

Anyone out there have a pic of how the fpr lines SHOULD be routed?

Also, I can no longer find car extinguishers on suprasport or suprastore, anyone know where to find em? I'd feel better with one on my B pillar.

Away from the alternator would be a good start ;)

Of course lol. But I mean if it has to go from the fpr to the front of the fuel rail the only path short enough is over the alt. Would moving the fpr closer to the intake manifold and running the line down the rail be better?

Okay got the car and its great. Got some okay pics but need betters ones so I will clean it up more and upload them when I can.

Yesterday, I bought an 89' Supra Turbo thats got the all white package. The cars a 5 speed. 180,xxxmiles on the chassis but less than 57,000 orginal miles on the motor and tranny. Bought the car for 5,500, talked the guy down from 6,800.

The goodies-
"JDM" (not sure on the difference though) 7MGTE
Stock CT26 [set at 12 psi :)] -No wiggle on shaft and spools great
HKS 1.2mm Metal headgasket
HKS ground wires
3" custom exhaust with HKS Carbon Ti muffler
3" ebay downpipe
Aeromotive AFR
Walbro 255 fuel pump
PTE 550cc inj
Lexus V8 MAF
HKS Megaflow filter
SS 3" Turbo elbow
HKS SSQV blowoff valve
Apexi SAFC II ( I need help learning how to use - no booklet or anything )
Apexi AVCR ( Need help with also - no booklet)
HPF fmic w/ 2.5" pipes

Suspension goodies-
Tokiko Illuminas II shocks - new
Eibach springs - 1.25 inch drop
Suspension Technic sway bars - Front & Rear
Poly bushings

Goodridge SS brake lines
replaced rotors w/ Brembo calipers
PBR carbon-ceramic pads - front
Blue racing brake fluid

235/45/R17 front
255/40/R17 rear
Clean alloy 5 spoke rims

20% tint - all the way around
Mculloch 5000k - white
Yellow HID fogs
Some kind of short shifter??

^^^ This is everything listed on the mod list and that I have found but about the body there is no dents and paint is okay I have the old front bumper that Im cutting out for the FMIC and trying on to see if I like and then having it resprayed if its a go.

I plan on getting some gauges and and some new spark plugs and wires even though the current ones that are unknown are great. Doing an oil change soon to put synthetic in it. The guy said run "15 50 synthetic" if i do.

I have NO IDEA what the power should be around on this car but I know I was checking the injector duty, boost, and the knock.
Injectors only got up to 52% duty and the boost got up to .80 kg/cm2 which if Im right thats 12psi. I registered no knock the whole time so I check the knock sensor if I was getting any power from it well its working.

Anyways tell me what you guys think??

Sounds like bad luck turned into good. Throw an upgraded 57 trim CT on there, get it tuned and enjoy 350+ hp daily.

It's posts like these that made me install an extinguisher. I do however want to swap it out for a Halon extinguisher. They are pricey but leave no residue at all. I also installed a 150 amp inline fuse for my alternator. I found a nice rubber post cover in a parts box, but not sure where it came from. There must be other brands or universal post covers that could work. I really want to find 2 of them for my rear kill switch (instead of electrical tape)
