yea, i could do that for ya... but im sure its big money for a new one....not to mention you'd also have to get a wire harness... and i doubt you'd be able to get one from a dealer as i imagine they never go bad...

a used on would be just as good, considering price and you'd get the harness..

im pretty sure you could find an auto dimming mirror down under... other late model cars have these mirrors also...

also a point worth making... is that there is also a light sensor facing forward(toward the windshield) so you can wire your high beams to auto off when it senses headlights... havent done this yet... as id have to figure out relays n such... but i assure you i will post with a how-to

Brian Aust (Supra92) put a Gentex mirror out of a Lexus on his 92T over a decade ago. He bragged about it often but I never understood why until I bought my GM truck then got stuck out at night in the Supra. He still doesn't have autodimming side mirrors though. Somebody needs to find ones that fit.

Guess some of the new cars do never really heard about them till this thread!

You will love it.

You can get compass, temperature, and homelink (garage door opener) built in.

The ideal for me would be all of the above that bolts on with no mods or something I can make a bracket to bolt in the stock location.

Just remove the arm from where it bolts to the roof and get a windshield mount...

I hate windshield mounts, and it seems anything other than a factory install eventually falls off. :) Probably mostly due to installation error, I've never actually tried to glue one on myself.

the best way to mount a mirror button on the windshield is to
A. prep the windshield
B. apply glue
C. press against windshield
D.(most important) use a telescoping prop-rod and use the end of arm rest as a base... and let it sit for an hour....

that sucker will be on for life.... well until your drunk buddies knock it off
