I had always read that changing your fuel filter was a pain in the ass... so I put it off until I was going to swap my diff, didn't really have plans to do it anytime soon so I just set the filter on the shelf.

Today I was under the car to take a look at a rattle/rubbing noise I was having and thought I'd take a look at the filter, just for the hell of it.

I found it, and couldn't see what the big deal was... I grabbed a 17mm ratchet, and a 14mm wrench, designed for fuel lines(don't know the technical name) and 15 minutes later I had the new filter installed.

Just my input on how difficult it is, or in my case, isn't

you don't live in the rust belt. that being said, flare wrenches (also known as line wrenches), and lots of PB blast have always made fuel filter jobs easy for me, and i live in the rust belt.

my filter came right off, too, after pre-soaking it for several days before trying to remove it. :)

well you have to understand that even with proper tools, some jobs are going to be a LOT easier then others on different cars. ive changed a fuel filter in 10 minutes before and ive had filters that just REFUSED to budge under ANY type of coercion. lol
