I've been lurking around for a while, but I haven't formally introduced myself.
I have a 1989 Turbo Targa 5-speed with 208,000 miles. I got it as a high school graduation present this year. I am the secound owner. When I got it, it did not run because it had been sitting for 5-6 years. Before the original owner parked it, he had put in a brand new interior.
To get it running properly, I had to clean out the gas tank and put in a new fuel pump, track down an ignition problem, and have the turbo rebuilt. Also I have redone the brakes and replaced the shocks with KYBs. The only performance mods have been a tanabe exhaust system and gutted cats.
Here are some photos from a recent ride and drive thru the north Georgia mountains around Dahlonega and Helen. This was before I redid the brakes and replaced the blown-out factory shocks.
