Damnit Jdub beat me to it again. I was fixing to recommend the same thing Ken. Damn these slow hunt and peck fingers of mine. jdub just types faster than I do, that's all it is. He isn't smarter than me so dont' get that idea.

Thanks guys.

I'm going to drain the oil today after I finish cleaning the block with some carb cleaner. I'll check it for possible swirls but I don't think any coolant every got into the oil. I've pretty much got all the old gasket scraped off.

i would use some gas to clean the tops of those pistons before you drain the oil. it looks like you have a lot of carbon build up on them. you'll be surprise how clean a little gas will get them. you could use other solvents, but gas is usually handy.

damn man, that looks alot like mine (also framed) what is it with 91 turbos and them really eating the headgasket up..... mine ran like a top right up until it dropped a cylinder and i parked it for the bhg job. good luck! i need to check out your car now that i am going to have some free time!!!
