Hello boyz, and gurlz lately I have been busy planiing to eliminate grimlins from a long down period. I was on the way to a dyno meet this December to test, and tune my new Wolf v500 and when I floored it in 5th gear at around 3500 rpms my engine back fired blew black smoke and stumbled.
I found that the exhaust valves on cylinders 1, and 5 were cracked in half and missing. Thank God no turbo damage.
Anyhoo I have been busy with life, new employment, and new rebuild. This project is as some of you know ever lasting.
I want to thank Supra Rich, and Chevyeater, Duane (upgradedsupra) for assistnace and encouragement during my down period. Rich got my parts expediently, and is a great guy to purchas from. Chevyeater is one of the most knowledgeable, and nicest guys I have ever met.
I met CHEVY in 2000, and we have been boosting wrenching, eating QWIK BURGERS, QWIK STEAKS, QWIK CHICKEN, barbeques for those that know me at my home, and lets not forget QWIK boozing PRESIDENTE beers.
CHEVY is also the man who is responsible for helping me grow my famous largest SUPRA DRAG MEET IN ENGLISHTOWN NEW JERSEY. We have had 100 cars show up, which is not like Vegas or Texas, BUT we have had 65 cars dragging. We have had 8, and many 9-10 second supra's show up and drag. Who has ever seen 65 supras 7m's, 1jzs, and 2jzs all filling the lanes and dragging in one place!
Duane kept me focused by calling me, and encouraging me, and keeping me looking forward to the present. Also Duane kept needling me about just missing the 500rwhp club, with the grimlins, and limitations that my last vpc/ emanage management made. I found that my problem in the end was a broken wire in the harness for the TPS, which could not be found until I installed my new block. I finally found out why I kept losing power at 5000rpms.
Now here is my current project that I definitely know will put me on the map, and over 500rwhp Duane
