just as title...

This struck me as curious because I've had my car down for a few months now and randomly i hear the charcoal canister making a faint buzzing sound, and just yesterday it did it again but this time really loud.

what is going on?

mine will go away but randomly comes back. sometimes i wont hear it for a long time and then it does it again.

i just dont understand how it is POSSIBLE that something would make noise after the car it is in has been unplugged from a battery, drained of oil, and has so many parts gone that i cant see any left over spressure or vaccuum in the car to cause any sound.

but it never fails to suprise me.

one side says "to tank" and if that goes to the GAS tank that is the only thing that i could think is generating any kind of force (vaccuum or pressure) to make the canister have the vibration... but it still doesnt make sence.

that is where it goes. the charcoal cansiter is just a lame-o emissions controll part that helps filter a lil bit of fumes vented from the gas tank. Do you still have gas in the tank?
