don't worry man we all have lives outside of this :p. well if u ever got time u can but don't worry im not going anywhere yet (cuz im leaving to the navy in september) & my car is definitely not going anywhere either lol.

Well, the black smoke smells like gas so you are running lean like I said earlier. You gotta take care of that misfire. New wires and plugs. Check under the distributor cap to see how the rotor is. Did you and Austin get all the wiring fixed? Or did you just do the trunk? Let me know when you get the tranny and bellhousing. I'm gonna start to look for a vacuum diagram to see where the hell everything is supposed to go. I'd be glad to come back there and help out. The top transmission bolts are gonna be a bitch tho. I still find it weird that the car was boosted with a 5 speed and it now has a 2jz auto. Lol, WTF.

yea that misfire needs to go :p. nah austin left a little bit after u left & then he couldn't come back cuz his dad needed him to help out with something. we got the whole trunk out before he left but after that i took out the back seats & took out some of the front so i could get ALLL the wiring out. it was ALOT i'll show u pictures later of it. also i took off my filter of my intake to see how big it is to get a new one. also my car won't start again cuz the starter cables came off the terminal again so that crap is pissing me off again. i just want to get new battery wires with the starter cables too so that will stop happening. also i had to recharge my battery cuz leaving the doors open the little lights on the door killed my battery lol. well the body on the panel says 7M-GE so it musta been non-turbo 5spd so i guess since it was non-turbo they just put an auto since its easier to acquire one :p lol. yea the hood has a diagram of all the vaccuum lines but since of the 2jz it probably messes that up too. yea K-C this car is a lil bit of a wiring nightmare but it can be fixed ^_^. btw i also vaccummed it too lol.

It's funny he says lean.. I say rich. Does the exhaust smell like fuel?

Also something else I noticed.. it looks like you have a flapper-style AFM. The 2JZGE came with either a karman vortec AFM (OBDI) or a hot-wire MAF (OBDII). Now I am not yet any 2JZGE guru, but I will tell you that that throws a red flag to me... it looks like that is why your air/fuel ratio is wayyyyy outta wack.

Go to clubna-t.com... post this video under their N/A or their NA-T section, and ask about the AFM with the REAL guru's.. not many people know anything about the 2JZGE on this forum (hence people hating on it, when they don't know enough about it- SupraBoostin.)

well i think it smells like fuel. yea i have a guage in my car that measures if its lean or rich & my car is usually all the way at rich. thx for the knowledge BOOST hottscennessey :burnout: i will do that & see what i get from the website. yea it is Electronic controlled AFM. like it has the flapper i have an extra one that came with the car so i can take a picture & show u how it looks.

so now you know how much i know about a certain engine,funny guy.I never fuckin hated on the 2j but i dont see why someone would take their time to swap an N/A motor to put another one in

You're right, I have no idea how much you know about the 2JZGE, or any engine for that matter. I was under the impression that you were hating on the 2JZ, but I see what you're saying. I was only saying that because I've seen how well the 2JZGE reacts to boost, but I see where you're comming from now.
