If my car isn't losing coolant, if it smokes ONLY under boost, and if it smells (not like coolant) could i be safe to say that it's my turbo going? it still boosts fine, it still sounds healthy and there is no oil on the impellers. I'm still pulling awesome vacuum 21 in/hg so i'm thinking my motor is still sealed well.

I'm almost positive that it's oil burning because of the smell. I've had a BHG before and it's a different smell then what i'm experiencing.

you have an exhaust leak, possibly between the turbo outlet and exhaust elbow/dp.

I had the same thing, stinking boost - turns out the metal gasket disintegrated. Look for soot marks to track the leak down.

Typically a blown turbo smokes at idle and during deceleration. Are you losing oil? I don't find burning oil to be pungent, but exhaust fumes sure are.

it does not smoke at idle. To tell you the truth, sometimes it smokes under hard acceleration and sometimes it doesn't. At idle it doesn't smoke.

Since i have a blitz BOV vented, my car will sometimes want to stall out. So if i rev it quickly in neutral and let off the gas the car will almost stall out but then regain itself and idle back to normal. However when it comes back to regular idle after almost stalling it'll let out a quick puff of smoke.

Could it be a hairline crack in my dump tube? (BIC DDP) because i noticed i have a small hairline crack.

Are you losing oil? Do a compression or leakdown test, that may provide some useful information. It could be the CPS o-ring leaking. That usually causes a little smoke at random. Look at the exhaust manifold carefully and look for different colored spots, like areas of black or white. Clean the area thoroughly if you have to.

I've been posting on average once a day for the past 3 months or so, lol.

i am losing some oil i find when i do oil changes. Probably 1/2 a quart or so. It could be also because i don't let it drain completely and that my driveway is also uneven.

But one thing for sure is that i DO NOT overheat, i am not loosing any coolant and i do have the waterfall sound in my dash. (possibly air pocket in my cooling system)
