In my experiences, car clubs begin suck when the members view themselves as part of an "import lifestyle/culture". The members end up like those guys from the Poser Mobile commercials.:biglaugh: The more successful clubs are pretty laid back and better organized. They cruise together to a nice restaraunt or the track rather than doing burnous in a parking lot.

if you dont mind me being from tacoma, and you do meets and events regularly, like scca and stuff like that i would gladly join. My cars are currently not setup for that but still wanna get out there and have a little fun, but it would have to wait for a couple of months until i get back to WA.

honestabe, are you going to be able ot make it to pir this friday "tomorrow"

im going just to watch, cant afford the 50 bucks to sign up and pay for car entree this time, plus there are large turn out's on the first few late night drags, i figure it's more fun to meet people when you have to wait 30 mintues to race!

I agree 100%

I am currently a member of 2 state-based Supra clubs, and it's awesome... $50 a year, and we get massive discounts from club sponsors (10% off labour at the local performance shop, discounts on Toyota parts, cheap dyno and track days, 20% off at certain restaurants and cafes, etc etc etc) and club shirt for official club events that happen roughly once a month...

I guess I'm pretty lucky in that all my best mates are in the clubs, so it takes very little to organise a meetup.

I remember in High school, everyone wanted to start their own car club, (1337)
And 3/4 of the guys starting them just opened a dictionary or thesaurus and started looking for big, complicated words.

To name a few examples that I can remember:

Residental Discrepanciez
Conceptional Realities
Kostom Illuzionz
Alterered Intentionz
Twizt'd Tendenciez

(So l33t, I know. :biglaugh: )

Supramania is the only car club you need.

Club Website: http://www.supramania.com

8,000+ members and we're global.

We're so big vendors come to us.

Yeah, but we don't have meets that are local to me very often. Trust me Mike, I spend a ton of time on here and I do like the ability to get almost any part I need by going to 1 place.
