Dude.. that's a 7M-GTE. I could understand if he had a 3S-GTE, the importance of a hood scoop there for the top mounted intercooler.

If you want an Imprezza, spending $1000 on something worthless for your MkIII will not help you afford it any faster.

You should pull the rear hood weather seal from the top of his firewall and tell him that you want $500 for improving his engine bay temperatures without making his car look stupid.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind having a small 1" tall scoop over the intake behind the pass. headlight. Nothing tall at all and almost the same shape as the headlight cover.

my .02 is telling me to kick that car. Its so big and exaggerated. Need airflow in the engine bay? run some ducting somewhere through the front. Thats just going to spin air around the top of the motor, not force it through. Looks like ish to me. doesnt go with ANY of the cars body lines... looks so un natural and ricer like.

3S-GTE = 2.0L Turbocharged Inline-4 used in a few vehicles
SW20 = 2nd Gen MR2 which came with the 3S-GE and 3S-GTE.

I don't care about the drift craze with the 4AG and SR20. I also don't care about the STI's EJ25 engine or the SRT-4's 2.4.. the 3S will always be king of the 4-bangers to me. Much history [variations], and victory, behind it in JGTC and Rally.
