My 924 took a BUS to the face!!! and took it like a champ

Thats right! a bus! It was one of those stupid SCAT(senior citizen attack team) busses. the guy backed up right into it, and he tried to leave too! I had to run out and yell at him. Got the police report, so going to give his insurance company a call Hopefully theyll just give me a check without me needing to go get an estimate or whatever. Although the blue book on this car with the low miles(85k) is 3200 and change. Either way there gonna pay up!

The lights worked after a little banging too. Yay

Hard to tell in this picture but the fender actually ripped in half right here. It is a hole not a bend

It is a tough little car. And i like to think of it as the little brother to the mk3. Germans are FTW! I dont think ive ever crashed a car without it being totally wrecked(or not my fault, for that matter) so i dont even know how this getting insurance money and getting it fixed thing works! It would be nice if i could get the entire car painted

yeah i got hit in the front end with one of my supras.... no damage to my car... well nothing a little rubbing compound couldnt take care of. and 3500 worth to the other car. your car took it well, aint no lie there. are you just gonna fix it and get it repainted?

yup i know a guy with a red 924 with a blown transmission. Im gonna grab his hood and fender and nose cone and maybe paint the whole car, if they give me the entire cash or not. I already got my black interior from him, and a few other things. Yeah the bus was going 5-8 mph about and he didnt hit the brakes when he hit me, the front of my car did the stopping. From where i was sitting i thought it would have drove right over the car and smashed through the window. his bumper totally missed my bumper

my brother had something similar happen to him with a senior transport bus (Think Short Bus)... except, it slammed into his driver and passenger door, so hard both glass shattered and it bent the frame... My brother was so pissed, because the dude took off.. Luckily, I wrote down the nursing home, and the bus number.. The nursing home paid dearly

No, that was the 924 Not S. haha. That had the 1.8 100 something hp. This motor is all porsche 2.5 and i believe 155 hp and 155 ft lbs. It goes nice, since the car is 2400 lbs or so. I went to the body shop guy i know and told him my plan. he said hes 99% sure there just going to "total" it and give me the money. So im gonna grab a spare fender, nose cone, and hood, and get the whole car painted black again. yay

never driven a 944 but i can say the brakes and the way the car handles are unbeatable among other sports cars from the same period. The power delivery is a work of art too, there just isnt enough of it. You can gun it and pull from 1800 all the way to 6500 and its very linear for a 4 cylinder. pretty rumbly exhaust and a loud intake too for a stock car

Makes me miss my 924 lol. I had the one with the VW Bus engine, which is a 2.0L and makes about 85hp or something. VERY slow. The only difference between the 924S and the 944 is the wide body panels, and updated interior.

haha yeah basically they had left over 924 bodies and left over 944 suspension motors and interiors, and decided to make one new car out of all of them. And as a result of that sometimes they have weird combos of parts not like any other 924S. Then they just built them till they used up all the extra parts they had. I guess it was a good idea at the time lol
