the reason i dont drive the car hard is because of the bic ddp:icon_bigg once the wastegate starts opening, the cops seem to notice me alot more...lol dont need anymore exhaust tickets

squid699-if i had a vacuum leak, would the car still idle properly? Also would a vacuum leak cause a car to run rich?

thanks

edit: using the tsrm i went and checked all the vacuum lines and they are all in place and the hoses look good

Vacuum hoses rarely cause enough of a leak to damage your mileage.

To give you a good example - the 3000 pipe to throttle body coupler. Mine was cracked - almost all the way around it. Leaking horribly. My idle was still fine, mileage was in the toilet, and I could still boost ~15psi. When I took this coupler off, it nearly fell into two pieces in my hands. Replaced it, and all of a sudden I boost faster, and my mileage went back to normal.

depends on what the gauge reads for vac, but I sit around 17-19 units of vaccum at an idle. I really don't suspect a vac leak in this case because anyything post TB would yield a lean condition unless boosting...
