In the last two weeks I finally got time to get my gauges working. I found the M1 connector stashed/hidden away (pretty sure by JDM Exchange) above the ABS computer behind the passenger side vent opening. So now my all my gauges work properly, my check engine light works, my reverse lights work and while I was doing that I figured I'd rewire my foglights. Here are some pics...

Here are the pics of the rebuild kit and the what I've started to do on the transmission.... As you can see, its REALLY dirty!! I just got degreaser and gear oil for it, so it won't be dirty for long.

I took my time and did it just to do it right (running the wires properly, wrapping them in electrical tape/loom so they look stock) Once I did that and I found all the wires, spliced into them, checked the system, then soldered and closed everything up. It took me a couple of days to do it just because I took my time and did it right. I think i spent about an hour a day. So if I did it all in one day I guess it would've taken me about three to four hours which is pretty much how long any other shop would take to do it. (but they don't hide any wires or make it look nice.)

Thanks though. I can't wait to finish the trans.

So I installed some new things today. It took a while because I had to take out the panels to get to it. Then I had to customize it so it would fit. Take a look!

some more pix... I took off the rear housing, shifter housing, and all the shifting rods. I need to find a universal puller long enough. I checked sears, autozone, pep boys and harbor freight tools. Anyone have any ideas on where I can get one from?

Wow what a difference those Tein Coilovers did huh? I like how she's sittin. How much were those and how do you like them? Do they feel alright? Im thinking of getting some.

YEA BIG DIFFERENCE!! Thanks, I like how she sits too but I think I could get it better. I got the coilovers from manictechracing for 950. It feels nice. It takes corners pretty well and its also (if you use stock pillowmounts) gives a softer ride then aftermarket topmounts. I'm fairly happy with them although the FLEX's are so much easier to adjust the height with. Ryan was confused on how to adjust the height when i got an alignment done at where he works.

So I'm driving around the other day and I start smelling this burning smell. I pull over and pop the hood. I get this whiff of burning plastic. I get home and let it sit. The next day I get back from work and look under the hood the cable from the alternator to the battery was corroded and overheating. So I start ripping apart the harness to get the cable out. It turns out that JDM Exchange extended the harness way too much and just folded wires up, wrapped it in electrical tape and shoved the extra in a hole near the fender. The last two days I've been unwrapping the harness, tracing the wires and resoldering the wires at a shorter point. Yesterday I finished soldering. Today I went did a check and started the car. It started and everything still works. I dropped about 15 lbs in wire. NO LIE! Now all I have to do is re wrap all the wiring.

So I finished up all the wiring for now. I wrapped it properly and ran the wires properly. I hooked everything back up now. It runs much better now with no burning plastic smell. Sorry I couldn't take pictures. My camera acting up.

I used a press that I borrowed. I will try to post some pics of it. For the most part I found it easier to use a press then a puller. I do think that I used a puller on a couple of things.
